Children enjoy two play parks, a games barn with table tennis and pool, and a football pitch. The farm keeps goats, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, and alpacas for daily visiting. Hosts Steve and Sarah offer animal-feeding opportunities and a warm welcome for families.

The farm lies 2 km from the market town of Pickering, with supermarkets and pubs a short drive away. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway runs steam trains from Pickering to Whitby, about a 40-minute drive from the farm. Pet Policy

Dogs are accepted in most lodges at Barker Stakes Farm. The farm does not accept pets in the 3-person lodge or in the cottages. Owners can walk dogs around the 7 hectares and along Pickering Beck.
